2 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar (plus more for rolling)
2 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour (in Spain add 1/8 to 1/4 c. more)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter and sugar. Add vanilla. Combine flour and salt and addto butter and sugar mixture. Mix in nuts. Dough may need to be mixed with your hands. If you can’t use the dough right away, cover and refrigerate it (up to 3 weeks). Roll into 1” balls. Bake on an ungreased baking sheet at 350º F for 8-12 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom. Immediately roll in powdered sugar. Roll in sugar again once cool.
