1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg, separated
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk; mix well. Combine flour, cinnamon, and baking soda. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Press into a greased 15x10x1” pan. Beat the egg white; brush over dough. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 350º F for 20-25 minutes. Cool 5 minutes; then cut into bars; cool completely.
