Cake:
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup shortening
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 cup water
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup buttermilk (I use milk with 1 tbsp. vinegar)
2 eggs, whole
1 tsp. vanilla

Icing:
1 stick margarine
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. sweet milk
1 box (1 lb.) powdered sugar (usually a little less than a pound)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
For the cake, in a saucepan melt and mix the margarine, shortening, cocoa and water. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda and cinnamon. Mix well. Add ingredients from the saucepan to the dry ingredients and mix well. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Bake in jellyroll pan at 350 degrees for 15 – 20 minutes. Start making the icing 5 minutes before cake is done. For the icing, in a saucepan melt together the margarine, cocoa and sweet milk. Take from heat and add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Spread on cake while icing is still hot and as soon as the cake comes out of the oven.
