1 cup sugar
2 tabs soft shortening
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup orange juice
4 tsp grated orange rind
3 cups flour
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup finely chopped dried apricots
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, shortening and egg. Stir in milk, orange juice and rind. Sift in dry ingredients. Blend in apricots and nuts. Pour in pan and let stand 20 minutes before baking. Bake at 350 for 70 minutes.
