1 lb. butter
2 cups sugar
6 cups flour
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Whip soft butter. Add sugar, 3 eggs, then flour, salt and vanilla. Add nuts, chocolate chips, anise seed, or whatever. Roll out and cut out with cookie cutters. Decorate with colored sprinkles or however you like. Bake at 300° for 8-10 min.

This was a family tradition at our house. Brian & I and my mom would always look forward to having Mom-Mop come over to make and decorate Christmas cookies with this recipe. Cousin Janice
