Pastry for 1 pie crust:
2 c. flour
1 c. butter-flavored Crisco
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water

12 slices bacon, crisply fried and crumbled
1 c. shredded Swiss cheese (4 oz.)
1/3 c. finely chopped onion
4 eggs
2 c. half-and-half
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. cayenne red pepper

Directions:
Prepare pastry. Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in pastry-lined pie plate. Beat eggs slightly; beat in remaining ingredients. Pour egg mixture into pie plate. Cook uncovered in 425º oven for 15 min. Reduce oven temperature to 300º. Cook uncovered until knife inserted comes out clean, about 30 minutes longer. Let stand 10 min. before cutting.
