1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
141/2 oz evaporated milk
4 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 pound marshmallows
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 bars ( 4oz each) sweet chocolate (Hershey Bars)
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 cups chopped nuts (optional)


Directions:

Stir together in a large heavy pot or Dutch oven over moderate heat, the butter,canned milk and sugar. Bring to a boil. Cover. Boil 5 minutes and turn off heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Add the chocolate, one kind at a time, stirring as it melts. Add vanilla and nuts. Blend. Pour into buttered jelly roll pan and smooth out evenly. Let stand until firm. Cut into 1 inch squares.
Half pecans may be pressed into the tops of the pieces. I have found it isn't necessary to use three different kinds of chocolate. Use what you have, but make sure you use the same weight, a total of 26 ounces Freezes very well.
