1 c uncooked rice, washed and drained
1 c canned whole kernel corn, drained
(2) 8oz can tomato sauce
1/2 c water & 1/4 c water
1/2 c finely chopped onion
1/2 c finely chopped green peppers
3/4 - 1 lb uncooked ground beef
Salt and pepper
4 strips of bacon sliced in half

Directions:
Directions:
Put rice and corn in baking pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with 1 can tomato sauce and 1/2 cup water. Add onions and green peppers, ground beef and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with 1 can tomato sauce and 1/4 cup water. Cover meat with bacon. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and bake about 30 minutes longer until bacon is crisp.

If you can't find Mamaw, call Mandy. She knows this one by heart. It was a main staple for her during her time at Aggieland. Don't call Roger, this isn't one of his favorites...definitely not "Roger recommended".
