French Toast Casserole Recipe

1 loaf french bread (10 oz) cut into 1 inch cubes
8 eggs
3 c milk
4 tsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla

2 T butter
3 T sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
maple syrup - optional

Directions:
Directions:
Place bread cubes in a greased 13x9x2 inch pan. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla. Pour over bread. Cover & refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Remove from the fridge and let sit at room temperature 30 minutes before baking. Dot with butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the top.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until knife inserted into mixture comes clean.

Let stand 5 minutes before you cut. Serve with syrup, if desired.
