Ingredients:
Fresh Mint
Silver Rum (or flavored rum, for a sweet twist)
White Sugar
Fresh Limes
Sprite (or any lemon-lime soda)
Ice

You can make this drink by the pitcher or by the glass, depending on how many people you want to serve. I find it is a great deal easier to make it by the glass so you can adjust the flavors according to a person's taste.

In a glass put about 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. white sugar, the juice of one lime wedge, about 5-10 mint leaves (depending on size and taste), and 1 1/2 shots of rum. "Mash" the ingreditents together in the glass to break up the mint leaves and dissolve most of the sugar. Fill the glass about 3/4 full with ice and fill with Sprite. Stir the liquid a few times and top with another lime wedge and a sprig of mint for garnish. All done!

Personal Notes:

If you want, you can make mojitos with flavored rum. Coconut rum is an old favorite, as is mango and passion fruit flavors. You can also add fresh fruit in the "mashing" phase for extra flavor!
