Pie Crust, cut into squares
granny smith or tart apples, peeled and wedged
2 tsp butter or less
tsp sugar
shake of cinnamon
Gravy: 1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 -2 cups water
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Place apple wedges in the pie squares. Put in butter, sugar and cinnamon and fold up sides of crust. Bake for 20 or so minutes at 350º. Until the apples are almost tender. While baking, over med heat, mix together water, butter, flour, sugar and cinnamon. Mix together, cooking and stirring to make gravy. Take dumplings out of oven and cover with gravy. Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, of until the apples are done.

I always make extra gravy for John Bryant! I got this recipe from Mom Dewlen. She was my foster mom from Covington. She used to make them alot. I just have to use my memory, because there is no recipe!
