8 c. Chopped Peeled Tart Cooking Apples 1/2 c. Packed Brown Sugar 2 tsp. Vanilla 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
Place all ingredients in a large saucepan or Dutch oven. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Remove from heat; mash apples (a potato masher works well) until sauce is desired consistency. Serve warm or cold.
