1 c shortening
2 t soda
2½ c sugar
2 t salt
2/3 c milk
2 t cinnamon
4 eggs
½ t allspice
4 c flour
½ t cloves
4 c finely chopped fresh rhubarb

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar & eggs, stir in milk. Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Add rhubarb and mix. Pour into a 9x13 inch pan.

Topping
½ c flour
½ t cinnamon
1/3 c brown sugar
2T cold butter
½ c chopped nuts
Combine flour sugar, cinnamon and cut in butter until crumbly. Add nuts. Spread over top of cake. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
