1 c sifted flour
1/2 c sugar
1 t baking powder
1/4 c milk
1/4 t salt
1 can pitted red, sour cherries
2T c butter

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and 1/4 cup sugar until fluffy. Add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, beating until smooth. Pour batter into greased 8 or 9 inch baking dish and put drained cherries on top. Sprinkle with 1/4 c. sugar. Pour the drained cherry juice over all and bake at 375° for 45 minutes. As cobbler bakes crust will come to top. Serve with whipped or ice cream.
