Base: 6 "Milk Way" bars or use 8 bars with 1/4 cup less buttermilk
1/2 cup butter or margarine
Batter: 1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 cup sifted four
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/4 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Icing: 1 stick butter or margarine
3 Milky Way bars
and Add: 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 2 Tbsp milk

Base: Combine bars and butter in medium pan and melt over low heat. While candy is melting, prepare batter. Batter: Cream butter or marg and sugar unitl it is light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and baking soda alternately with buttermilk til smooth. Add melted candy mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract and nuts. Pour batter into greased and floured Bundt or 10 inch tube. Bake 350º for 1 hour and 20 minutes or til done. Cool for a few minutes and remove from pan. Icing: Melt butter and milky way bars. Add powdered sugar and milk mixture. Pour over cake.

gatherings. Sometimes it is served plain,sometime with nuts,sometimes with icing,sometimes with
