• 2 large eggs
• ½ cup of sugar
• ½ cup (packed) golden brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ½ cup all purpose flour
• ⅛ teaspoon of salt
• ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted, chilled
• 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (about 6 ounces)
1 cup chopped pecans
• 1 9-inch-diameter frozen deep-dish pie crust, thawed

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325°. Whisk eggs, both sugars, and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Add flour and salt; whisk to blend. Whisk butter (remember to melt and chill butter) in 3 additions. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (Remember to roast the pecans, see below). Transfer filling to pie crust. Bake pie until filling is puffed and golden brown, about 50 minutes. Cool on rack 20 minutes. Cut into wedges. Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream if desired.
