4 oz bag of caramels
1/3 C evaporated milk
1 box German chocolate cake mix
3/4 C butter, melted
3/4 C chopped pecans
8 oz chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan, melt caramels with milk over low heat,stirring often. Set aside. Mix dry cake mix with butter, and pecans and stir until it holds together. Press half the dough in the bottom of a greased 9 X 13 pan and bake at 350* for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust and spread caramel mixture over chips. Crumble the other half of the dough over caramel mixture, covering as evenly as possible. Return to oven and bake 20 minutes more. Cool 2 hours before cutting into squares.
