Making crust: In large bowl, stir together the flour and 1 c. brown sugar. Using pastry blender, cut in 1/2 c. butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs.

Pat flour mixture into bottom of ungreased 13x9x2 baking pan. Sprinkle pecan halves evenly over unbaked crust.

Caramel layer: In heavy quart size saucepan, stir together the 2/3 c. butter and 1/2 c. brown sugar. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until well blended and entire surface of the mixture begins to boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Pour caramel mixture over the pecans and crust.

Bake at 350º degrees for 20 minutes or until entire caramel layer is bubbly and crust is golden brown. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle milk chocolate pieces over the caramel layer; let stand 2 to 3 minutes. Using a knife slightly swirl the chocolate pieces as they melt to create marble effect (do not spread chocolate pieces).
