10 cups Water (liquid)
1 cup Jasmine Rice

Directions:
Directions:
Bring liquid and rice to a boil, lower to a simmer and cook until thickened.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

If using a ham bone, Mom always boiled the ham bone first to remove some of the fat (about 10 mins). Add bone in with the rice and liquid.
Mom usually sprinkled the soup with chopped scallions.
