1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg, separated
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup cake and pastry flour
Finley chopped nuts
jam or jelly

Directions:
Directions:
1)Cream butter and sugar together.
2) Add well beaten egg yolk,vanilla and flour making sure ingredients are well combined.
3) Lightly beat egg white
4) roll dough into 1 inch balls.
5) Roll balls into egg whites then into chopped nut
6) make and indent into the centre of each ball the place on parchment covered baking sheet. Bake for 5 min. then redent cookie.
7) Fill dent with your favorite jam or jelly.
