2 1/2 lb of ground beef ,cooked and drained of fat
2 large cans of diced tomatoes
1 -2 large onions, diced
5 stocks of celery diced
2 cups water
8 cups of beef stock or beef bouillon
1 1/2 cups small diced carrots
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp thyme
pepper and salt to taste
8 tbsps of rice and barley
1 can tomato soup

Directions:
Directions:
1) Brown onion and beef together, drain and rinse grease off of the beef
2) Add all ingredients into a large stock pot
3) Adding spices last
4) Simmer for a minimum of 4 hours or until carrots are tender.
5) Remove bay leaf before serving

You may add any other vegetables you wish to this soup. It is thick and great tasting on a cold day.Make sure to cut your veggies uniformed as they will cook better and with more flavour this way.
