1 c stone ground cornmeal
1 c all purpose flour
1/2 c sugar
2 1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 c buttermilk
1 c diced, crispy cooked bacon
6 T melted butter
1 egg slightly beaten

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400
Grease 9" square baking pan
Stir dry ingredients together in a bowl
Stir in buttermilk, bacon, butter and egg mix
Stir gently
Pour into baking pan and bake on middle oven rack for 25 minutes
