Texas Toast - 1 loaf (1" thick slices)
(I actually use Hawaiian Bread - it's a sweet bread)
1 stick of butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
6 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and stir. Put half of the mixture in bottom of the 9 x 13 pan. Layer slices of bread on bottom of pan.
Pour remainder of mixture on top of sliced bread. Put another layer of sliced bread on top. Beat eggs, milk and vanilla and pour over the bread, cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minute covered, 15 minutes uncovered. Serve with syrup.
