1/4 c. slivered almonds
2 tbsp. sugar
1 pkg. spinach (torn)
1 head romaine lettuce (torn)
1 c. fresh strawberries ( sliced)
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. chopped green onions
Dressing: balsamic vinaigrette dressing
1 tbsp. poppy seeds

Directions:
Directions:
In large skillet, cook and stir almonds and sugar over low heat until sugar is dissolved and almonds are coated. Spread on foil to cool, break apart.
In large bowl combine the spinach, lettuce , strawberries, green pepper, onion and almonds.
Combine dressing with poppy seeds and drizzle over salad, toss gently to coat. Serve immediately.
