1 c. butter
1 c. lard
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, lard, and sugars together. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Add nuts. Chill. Shape in balls the size of walnut. Dip tops in sugar. Bake 2” apart. Sprinkle several drops of water on each ball of dough. 350º for 15 minutes.
