1 1/4 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, soda and salt; set aside. Cream shortening, add sugar. Add egg, beating well. Beat in vanilla. Add flour mixture. Stir in nuts. Drop by spoonfuls. Bake at 350 for 9 to 11 minutes. Bake until just dry, not brown.
