4 c. coarsely chopped apples 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. vegetable oil 2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. salt 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. chopped walnuts Topping: 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. nuts 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Combine apples and sugar; let stand. Beat eggs slightly. Beat in oil and vanilla. Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Mix alternately with sugar and apple mixture and nuts. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan in 350º for about 1 hour.
