1 3/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. butter
2 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. milk
3 c. flour
Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. Cream shortening, add sugar. Add eggs, beating well. Beat in vanilla. Alternately add flour mixture and milk to butter mixture. Spread batter in greased and floured cake pan. Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350º.
