1 c. shortening 3 eggs 1 #303 can pumpkin 2 1/2 c. sugar 3 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. cloves 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Mix shortening, eggs and pumpkin. In separate bowl combine dry ingredients, add to pumpkin mixture and blend well. Add nuts and stir. Pour into two greased, floured loaf pans and bake at 325º for one hour. Let cool before removing pans.
