-1/2 cup butter,softened
-1 1/2 cup sugar
-2 eggs
-2 1/2 tbsp. cocoa powder
-2 tsp. red food coloring
-1 tsp. salt
-2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
-2 tsp vanilla extract
-1 cup buttermilk
-2 oz water
-1 tsp baking soda

Cream Cheese Frosting:
8 oz package cream cheese
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 grease or line 16 cupcake cups. Blend softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and blend well.
2. In separate bowl mix cocoa and food coloring into a paste, add to mixture. Sift salt and flour together; add to mixture. Add vanilla, buttermilk and water.
3. In a separate bowl, add baking soda fold into mixture. pour mixture into cupcake cups. Bake 25 minutes.
4. For frosting, blend softened cream cheese and butter. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth .
spread on cupcakes and top with any candie if you want.
