2 pkgs. dry yeast
2 1/2 c. warm water
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, well-beaten
8 to 8 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. salt
Doughnut Glaze:
1 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Soften yeast in warm water. Add butter, sugar, eggs, 4 c. flour and salt. Stir smooth. Add remaining flour. Cover tightly and store in refrigerator overnight or until needed. When ready to use, punch down. Dough will keep 2 or 3 days. Roll dough 1/2” thick. Cut and place of floured board and let rise. Fry in deep, hot oil.
