3 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. double-acting (or 5 tsp. fast-acting) baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
2/3 c. butter or margarine
4 egg yolks
2 c. milk
4 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Melt and cool butter. Beat 4 egg whites in small bowl on No. 10 speed until stiff but moist. Beat 4 egg yolks in a large bowl on No. 10 speed about 1 minute. Add 2 c. milk. Add sifted dry ingredients. Beat on No. 4 speed until blended. Add melted butter. Beat only until blended. Fold in beaten egg whites on No. 1 speed.
