1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
2 beaten egg yolks
1 1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. melted shortening or salad oil
2 stiff-beaten egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Combine egg yolks, milk and shortening; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. In a small mixing bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form; gently fold into batter.
