1 c. dried apricots, chopped 1 c. water 1 egg 3/4 c. sugar 2 T. melted butter 2 c. flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. orange juice 1 c. chopped walnuts
Soak apricots in water for 1/2 hour. Drain thoroughly. Mix egg, sugar and melted butter. Add dry ingredients alternatively with orange juice. Fold in apricots and walnuts. Pour batter into greased and floured pan and bake for 1 hours at 350º. Remove baked loaf from pan to cool.
