4 slices bacon, cut up
½ cup sugar
½ tsp salt
1 TBSP cornstarch
1 beaten egg
¼ cup vinegar
1 cup water

Directions:
Fry bacon slowly until brown. Let remain in pan. Mix sugar with salt and cornstarch. Add beaten egg, vinegar and water. Add mixture to bacon and fat. Cook to desired thickness. Cool.

Personal Notes:
I have made the bacon the day before. Just mix the sugar, cornstarch and then water, egg and vinegar. Cook to desired thickness, put in bacon.
We used red wine vinegar and rice vinegar. I have also used apple cider vinegar.
