1 1/2 cups cranberries (cleaned)
1 orange (peeled with seeds removed)
1 cup sugar
1 (3 oz.) package lemon jello
1 cup boiling water


Directions:
Directions:
Using a grinder (or food processor) crush cranberries and oranges. Mix in sugar and let stand 1 hour.

Dissolve jello in boiling water and mix with cranberry mixture. Pour into serving dish and let set. Serve with sauce on the side to drizzle over individual servings.

Sauce: Mix 1 cup of mayonnaise with lemon juice and maraschino cherry juice to taste.

When Grandma Gray gave me this recipe she also gave me her grinder (which I no longer have but I do have one on my Kitchen Center). Cleaning & grinding the cranberries can be a chore, but I remember this salad being a favorite at Thanksgiving dinners. I usually doubled the recipe and it always set well.
