6-8 eggs
2 cans evaporated milk
2 1/2 to 3 c sugar
2 c half and half
1 tbsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 to 2 qt milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat first 3 ingredients in a double boiler until mixture coats a metal spoon then cool to speed freezing
add remainder of ingredients
pour mixture into ice cream freezer can
alternate layers of 2 inches of crushed ice and 1/2 cup rock salt to the top of can
start motor
ice cream is done when the motor stops running
