"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

1 -1 ½ pound ground beef browned
1 medium can tomato sauce
2 cups uncooked rice
Tomato juice
1 large can stewed tomatoes
garlic salt to taste
3-4 green peppers quartered

Directions:
Directions:
Cook rice according to directions. Brown beef. While doing both of those; boil green pepper for 5 minutes and place on bottom of 9X13 pan. Mix rice, beef, tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato juice. Pour mixture over peppers and bake for 20 minute at 350 degrees. This recipe works for people who do not like green peppers-you can just eat the mixture from the top of the peppers.
