1 cup warm buttermilk
1 package yeast
1/2 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup shortening
Melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together buttermilk and yeast. Sift together soda, salt and flour. Cut in shortening. Add to yeast mixture. Stir until blended. Knead. Roll out like biscuits. Dip in melted butter. Put on cookie sheet. Let rise for one hour. Bake.
