Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
3/4 c. water
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. broken nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Place sugar, corn syrup and water in saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved, then cook without stirring to 255º (a litttle dropped into cold water forms a hard ball). Remove from heat and pour, beating constantly, in a fine stream into 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten. Continue beating until mixture holds its shape and loses its gloss. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop quickly from tip of spoon onto waxed paper in individual peaks, or spread into buttered pan. When firm, cut into 1" squares.

Personal Notes:
Mom says Divinity cannot be made on a cloudy or rainy day or it will not set. Don't try it - you'll only prove her right and you'll hear her saying "I told you so!"
