4 c. sugar
1-1/3 c. milk
2/3 c. cocoa
4 T. light corn syrup (1/8 cup)
4 T. butter
1 or 2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, milk, cocoa and corn syrup in large saucepan. Bring to full boil, turn down fire and let cook till it reaches 234º on thermometer or forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat. Add butter, cool a bit, then start beating with spoon till it gets thick and cooks. Will lose its gloss. Quickly add vanilla and nuts - stir in and pour onto buttered platter. Cut into squares when set.
