I love to have celebrations at my house. I pre-prepare as much as possible beforehand. This includes housework. That way, you don't have the wafting scent of Comet, Pledge or Windex lingering or new vacuum cleaner lines on the carpet. Again, organization is the key. We have basketball available and plenty of toys. Last time, I found a "hook-up" and was able to get a bouncy-house for only $60 for the entire day! I get paper goods and plastic ware. I almost always make the event a pot-luck and have lots of people involved in helping. It not only takes the grocery shopping and prep pressure off of you somewhat but also defrays the cost. John and Cody are also heavily involved in my parties in that they clean off the back porch and get the last minute shopping (usually ice) done while I finish last minute touch-ups around the house.
