"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

My biggest tip is to buy the healthiest, cleanest, God-created fresh foods that you can buy. No more pre-packaged, convenience foods. No more fast food. No crappy pre-prepared frozen burritos or pizza, no matter how cheap they appear to be, they wreck havoc on your body. Anything you can buy in a restaurant (fast food or otherwise), you can make yourself. It takes some planning on your part and a few hours on the weekend preparing a menu, grocery shopping and doing food prep. The time you spend preparing as much as possible (ie. precooking ground turkey, chopping veggies then store in baggies or reusable plastic containers.....I even pre-make rice.) immediately after your trip to the market, the more time you have during the week to toss ingredients together and make a great meal. Convenience-wise, if you can afford to, buy already chopped onions, potatoes, bagged salads, etc. to cut down on that particular prep time. I recommend Tosca Reno's books on clean eating. Excellent! I've never found any better. Obviously, fruit, string cheese and nuts are good "fast foods" that you can toss in the car with you.
