Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 lb. chuck roast
1/4 c. light soy sauce
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. ginger
1 onion sliced on top

Directions:
Directions:
Put roast in crockpot. Combine soy sauce, water and ginger, and pour over roast. Top roast with sliced onion. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours.

About an hour before dinner cook the amount of rice your family will eat (I use minute rice). Remove roast to a platter for pulling apart with a fork). Add the rice to the broth in the crockpot. This part is up to you. You don't want it soupy but you don't want it dry. Then add the shredded beef to the rice. It is nice if you can let it sit for a 1/2 hour before eating but not necessary.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
The beef and rice reheats very well. Any beef you don't add to rice makes great sandwiches.
