6-8 Lg Potatoes
1 Lg Onion
1 PKG "Cheap" Hot Dogs
Handful of Shredded Carrots
1/4 C Chicken Base
2 can evaporated milk
2 Lg "Dollups" margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Dice potatoes and onions, cover with water in large kettle. Boil until potatoes are tender. When tender, using fork, mash approximate. 1/3 of potatoes. Cut hotdogs into thick slices and add them and chicken base to the potato onion mixture, finish cooking potatoes until cook through. Drop tempature to a simmer add canned milk, butter and salt and pepper to taste, let simmer for 15 minutes then serve. (Best served with homemade bread.)

At the end of a pay period we always had potatoes and hotdogs. Raising 7 children this was a good stretch to payday.
