1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 cup Shortening
2 eggs
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and mix well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Mix well. You can chill dough for a while. Using half of the dough at a time roll out to 1/4 inch thick. Make sure surface is floured cut with cutter and bake on ungreased cookie sheet. at 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes.
