1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1 egg
1 cup persimmon pulp
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp each of nutmeg, ground cloves, cinnamon
1 cup chopped dates or raisins
1 cup chopped pecans

Yield: 5 dozen
Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cream together sugar and margarine. Add rest of ingredients. Mix to blend. Drop by teaspoonful on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes until light brown. Cool, then roll in powdered sugar.
