2 or 3 medium onions, sliced
5 or 6 heads of dill
4 or 5 cloves garlic
1 tsp. mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Wash enough cucumbers to fill ice cream pail or gallon jar. Soak in ice water for 1 hour. Then slice cucumbers lengthwise. Boil 1-1/2 qts water, 2 cups vinegar, 1/2 cup pickling salt.
Pour above mixture over cucumbers while hot, let set on cupboard uncovered for 3 days then cover and refrigerate.
