1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
48 milk chocolate kisses

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except candy in large mixing bowl. Mix at lowest speed of mixer until dough forms. Using a teaspoon, shape dough in balls. Roll balls in sugar; put on an ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Immediately top each cookie with a candy kiss.
