1/4 pound margarine
1/4 pound peanut butter (I use chunky)
1 c. white sugar
1/2 pound brown sugar (1 cup)
3 eggs
3/4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. corn syrup
2 tsp. baking soda
4 1/2 c. oats

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and peanut butter with white and brown sugars. Add eggs and mix. Add vanilla, corn syrup, baking soda and mix. Stir in oats and chocolate chips with a strong wooden spoon.
Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Do not overbake- chewy cookies should be light brown on top- for crunchy cookies - cook longer. Recipe can be easily doubled.
